Mr. Somers serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for IDS and is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of SV Investment Partners. He has been in private equity since 1993 and investment banking since 1987, and has completed numerous build-up and growth buyout strategies in the media, marketing, and technology services industries. Prior to SV Investment Partners, Mr. Somers was a founder and partner of Greenwich Street Capital Partners, the private equity affiliate of The Travelers. Prior to that, he worked at Morgan Stanley, where he served as one of the senior members of the Financial Buyers Group. He began his business career at Chemical Bank. Mr. Somers received an MBA degree from the University of Chicago and a BA degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
Mr. Armstrong is a Senior Advisor for SVIP, and previously served as the Chairman of SV. Mr. Armstrong is the retired Chairman of Comcast Corporation and the former Chairman and CEO of AT&T and Hughes Electronics. Prior to these positions he spent more than three decades with IBM, ultimately serving as Chairman of the Board of IBM World Trade Corporation. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Johns Hopkins Medicine, The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital. His current board affiliations include International Handling Services, The Philharmonic Center for the Arts (Naples, FL), the Forum Club of Southwest Florida and the Telluride Foundation. He is a senior advisor at Tudor Venture Capital.
Mr. Campbell joined IDS as CEO in January 2011, bringing over 27 years of software development and technology experience. Mr. Campbell was previously Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Fair Isaac where he led global sales, strategic partnerships, professional services, and played a key role in directing product strategy. Prior to Fair Isaac, Mr. Campbell had extraordinary success as an entrepreneur founding Campbell Software in 1989, the company being twice recognized by Inc. Magazine for company growth. Mr. Campbell led his organization through its acquisition by SAP in 1999 and assumed senior roles within SAP through to 2001 when he became a Sr. Vice President and General Manager of SAP America.
Mr. Cole serves as a Principal of SV Investment Partners. He has 20 years of operating experience in senior finance positions. Mr. Cole joined SV from one of its portfolio companies, PrecisionIR Group, where he served on the Board of Directors for five years and acted as its Chief Financial Officer. Prior to PrecisionIR, he held roles in marketing services companies, including as Chief Financial Officer of Momentum Integrated Communications, a subsidiary of Omnicom Inc. Mr. Cole started his operating career with Serco Group Plc, one of the world’s leading service and outsourcing companies. Mr. Cole is qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London. He received his BA degree from Kingston University.
As Executive Vice President and Group Executive for CA Technologies, Mr. Dobson is responsible for managing a broad portfolio of products and solutions. He is also a member of CA’s Executive Management Team. Prior to joining CA Technologies, Mr. Dobson served as President of Pitney Bowes Management Services. In addition, he also served as Pitney Bowes Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, where he was responsible for leading the development of the company’s long-term strategy. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer of Corel Corporation. In 2006, he was instrumental in steering the company’s successful initial public offering. Before joining Corel in 2005, he spent 19 years at IBM, where he held a number of senior management positions.
Mr. Lacy served as President of Kronos Incorporated from 2005 to 2008. He also previously served in a number of executive positions for the company during his 20-year tenure, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, Vice President of Finance and Principal Accounting Officer. Prior to Kronos, Mr. Lacy held senior finance positions at Remanco Systems Inc, Bird, Inc., and The Bose Corporation. Mr. Lacy also serves on the Board of Directors of Parametric Technology Corporation. Mr. Lacy holds a JD from Boston College Law School and B.S. in Accounting from Boston College.
