Job Summary:

Evaluate and test new or modified software programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and implement testing projects -- Manual and Automation
• Maintain and update test databases.
• Work with product development to develop test scenarios and test cases based on methodology being utilized, (use cases, Detailed Requirement Documents, or narratives).
• Evaluate and test software programs, including test case design and execution of alpha, beta, functional, iteration and regression tests.
• Log any issues/defects encountered during test cycles and conduct fix verification.
• Identify, create and maintain manual Functional and GUI based tests.
• Write and distribute reports to describe program evaluation problems found, corrections needed, and problem areas.
• Work with and understand distribution and Version Control mechanisms.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks/assignments/projects.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 0-2 years related work experience preferably in Financial / Leasing applications
• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or Equivalent
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to accomplish tasks and solve problems that are somewhat complex.
• Ability to communicate with a range of audiences, from programmers to individuals with a technical background.
• Intermediate knowledge of version control and distribution issues and processes.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Some programming background needed.
• Ability to perform duties with general supervision.
• Must be able to pass criminal and credit background check
